The application presents expected contamination level in Lower Silesia.

Apart from maps of air pollution and quality index, updated every day, the total number of which is 4779, one can find short information on each pollution agent, as well as the description of forecast model.

The portal was ordered by Voivodship Inspectorate for Environmental Protection in Wrocław.

Mail reporting module, also available within the system, generates reports automatically if alarm levels are exceeded for sulphur dioxide and PM10 particulates.

Forecasts are calculated on the base of CAMx model (Euler grid model) for the voivodship and Calpuff model (Gaussian Dispersion Plume Model) for the cities. Meteorological data comes from mesoscale model of WRF forecast.
